Facilitating someone’s personal growth by developing a meaningful therapeutic relationship is a very exciting and fulfilling endeavor for me.  As a practicing psychotherapist at the Brookwood Center for Psychotherapy since 1989, I love working with couples, families, and individuals who find themselves facing certain life difficulties which could include marriage and relational difficulty (particularly involving extra-marital affairs), depression, anxiety, work related problems, divorce issues, problems with communication, parenting issues, as well as existential/life meaning questions.

I lead psychotherapy groups for men, which provide healing, as men explore their families of origin and learn new and more effective means of coping with life’s stressors.  Working with depressed men, and the effect this has on their intimate relationships, is a particularly satisfying specialty.  Additionally, counseling with couples around intimacy issues, both emotional as well as physical, is very rewarding.

As an Approved Supervisor with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, training new and seasoned clinicians to be the best therapists they can be, is also a big part of my practice.  This keeps me involved in the current literature as well as informed about new psychological approaches to the human condition.

Being a therapist is not just what I do; it’s an integral part of who I am.  If you would like to discuss your situation with me, please give me a call.
